Sultana Band Camp 2020
Band Camp this year is two weeks long, Monday - Friday (percussion/guard camps may also be held on Saturdays), and is held at Sultana High School. Before Band Camp officially starts, there will be a New Member Day on Saturday July 18 (times TBD) for all new members of the program and all student leaders. Week 1 for all members is July 20-24, and Week 2 is July 27-31.
Specific times during these days will be announced in the near future.
For safety and supervision reasons, students are not permitted to leave campus during that time unless with parent and a provided note, so pack your meals and snacks for the day!
District policy requires students to have a Physical completed and Athletic Card on file each school year. These forms can be obtained from the front office during summer, or in the band room during band camp. Each year we hold on-site physicals for our band students on a chosen date (TBD), performed by Dr. Griffin. The cost is $20, and proceeds benefit the Sultana Band. Students are strongly encouraged to have their mandatory physicals completed on this day. Additional documents and release forms will be available shortly on the website, and passed out the first few days of Band Camp.
Band Camp will culminate with a Mandatory Parent Meeting on Friday July 31st at 6:30pm, followed by a performance for the parents to show off the band's progress from Band Camp!
